Pathology

ACT Pathology is a division of the Canberra Hospital and health services group and provides specialist pathology services to public and private patients throughout the ACT. Pathology is a medical specialty looking at disease processes and their causes. Pathologists analyse body tissue, blood and other bodily fluids to help medical practitioners identify the cause and severity of disease, and to monitor treatment. Pathology is made up of multiple medical specialties.
