The Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Hospital Appeal has earned itself quite a following at the Canberra Hospital.

Every Thursday, Woolworth’s volunteers come with their barbeques and an assortment of goodies, providing hospital staff, visitors and patients with a weekly treat. On the menu are sausage sizzles, bacon and egg sandwiches, finger buns, donuts, lamingtons, fruit salad and more!

Live entertainment is provided by Bill who sings old tunes, and Harold, Craig and Millsy can often be seen cooking up a mean sausage or two!

“Woolworths and PatCH have enjoyed a strong partnership over more than 15 years, enabling Canberra Hospital to support the speedy recovery of sick and injured children. Said Dr Tony Lafferty, Director of Paediatrics at the Canberra Hospital. ”

Woolworths have been a generous supporter of the Canberra Hospital. They have donated over $800,000 to Paediatrics at the Canberra Hospital (PatCH) through their annual appeals.

A special mention must be made of the staff from Woolworths, many of which volunteer their time on their days off. Their commitment and generosity is much appreciated by the Canberra Hospital Foundation and PatCH.
