The cornerstone of ACT Health's emphasis on university research is The ANU Medical School administered by one of Australia's most prestigious universities.

ACT Health conducts and manages many clinical trials led by large pharmaceutical companies and individual ACT Health researchers.

In addition to the above, ACT Health has dedicated research wet laboratories based at the Canberra Hospital where the majority of bench research is done. ACT Health prides itself on the wide range of research disciplines it is involved in from laboratory to clinic to the broader community.
