MASTERCOOK CHALLENGE
Who will be crowned the Master Cook in the CAN GIVE DAY Master Cook Challenge 2022?
This CAN GIVE DAY will see four top cooks compete in the Master Cook Challenge, with three challenges to test their skill and grit!
On Friday 21st October, the cooks will be pushing their skills to the limit, embracing their passion and putting their reputation on the line... all to raise funds for 'Your Space - Wellbeing Centre' at the Canberra Region Cancer Centre.
The wanna-be chefs will be competing in three challenges:
- Signatory meal
- Taste test
- Mystery Box
Help the Master Cook contenders secure their place in the challenge, click on their profile to donate to ensure they achieve their $2000 entry fee. Throw some money at your favourite to encourage them to fire up!
WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
A day of giving... to give back to our community! CAN GIVE DAY contributes to our healthcare services in a way that makes such a huge difference to our patients.
It's a 24-hour fundraising sprint to help our amazing healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care for people in our community and the surrounding region.
Funds raised go to support research, therapeutic programs, transformations of away-from-bed areas, and the purchase of speciality medical equipment, which enhances the patient experience.
You can get involved and support staff-led projects throughout the year by signing up to fundraise for Canberra Hospital Foundation!

Create an account, or sign in using your details from last year. Once you are signed in, you can complete the next steps in the same process.
CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE
Stick with the default images and message, or customise it how you like.
OPTIONAL: JOIN OR CREATE A CHS TEAM
An optional step for those who want to join an existing team they know of, or perhaps create a team for a fundraising event or activity they are organising!

Look for the social sharing buttons on your Fundraising Page (or copy and paste the link). Don't forget to ask others to share on their socials too!
Feel free to email your Fundraising Page link to your friends and family. Or perhaps you have a workplace email signature where you can add the link?

Are you part of a sporting club, community group or perhaps your workplace has a newsletter that could add your Fundraising Page link to their next edition?

You've got questions, we've got answers...
Can I use my Account from last year?
Yes, if you created an Account for a previous event with us, you can use the same login details.
When you go to the Sign Up page, look for the tab 'Already have an Account with us?' and use your email address and password that you used to create the Account.
What if I can't remember my password from last year?
You can reset your password. When you go to the Sign Up page and click on the tab 'Already have an Account with us?' you will see a link for 'Forgotten your password?' (it's under the Login button).
Follow the prompts to reset your password.
I'm having trouble signing up for an Account or creating a Fundraising Page, how can I get help?

I need to change or update my Account and Fundraising Page/ Team Fundraising Page, where can I do that?
After you have created an Account, or have returned to your Account and signed in, you will see three options:
My Page
- You can Upload a Profile Image, Add a Blog Post or Sponsor Yourself, and check on your progress
- You can Get Support for your fundraising, by sharing to social media, getting the link to share, or via email from here
- You can check on Donations made to your Fundraising page
- Look for Edit My Page to edit your Fundraising page link, fundraising target and Update Your Blog or Gallery
- Be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom
My Team
- You can Invite others to join your Team using a link, via social media or email
- You can Get Support for your Team fundraising, by sharing to social media, getting the link to share, or via email from here
- You can check your Team Donations
- You can Edit Team Page, including the Fundraising target, Team Name, change settings and passcode, update your Team Blog or Team Gallery
- You can manage your Team Members and invite others to join
- Be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom
My Account
- You can Update Account including your Personal Details, reset Password and check Your History
- Be sure to click Save Changes

- Be added to a Team after you've already signed up (you can also ask the Team Captian to send you a link to join)
- Change or leave your Team
- Remove a Team Member
- Moderate a Donation or Message
What will the funds raised go towards?
Funds raised go to support research, therapeutic programs, transformations of away-from-bed areas, and the purchase of speciality medical equipment, which enhances the patient experience throughout the year.
Is Canberra Hospital Foundation a Registered Charity with DGR status?
Yes! Canberra Hospital Foundation is an ACNC registered charity. Canberra Hospital Foundation is recognised as a Health Promotion Charity and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) by the Australian Tax Office. All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
Can I host an event or activity as part of my CAN GIVE DAY fundraising?
Yes, you can. We have some fundraising guidelines and expectations to ensure everyone benefits from your wonderful offer.
When you sign up and create an Account, there are Terms and Conditions you must agree to in order to proceed. These T&C's outline the Fundraising guidelines and expectations.Â
You can amend or update your Fundraising Page or Team Fundraising Page to include details of your event or activity.Â
Where can I find resources and assets to support my fundraising, activity or event for CAN GIVE DAY?

Mental Health Ward Group Courtyard, which provides
- a therapeutic space and activity for consumers with acute mental health issues who are currently hospitalised
- a space that promotes a healthy lifestyle to improve outcomes for the marginalised and vulnerable sector in our community
- A safe, secure outside space for use when in emotional crisis
Bio-Rad ChemiDoc MP Western Blot Imaging System, which provides
- a ‘personalised’ diagnosis to people diagnosed with immune diseases
- support for medical research conducted by the Canberra based Translational Immunology Labroratory
- help for Canberrans, living with immune-related diseases without the need to travel interstate
Therapeutic tools and toys for paediatric outpatient clinics, which helps to
- build a safe therapeutic relationship and to enable children to communicate with the therapy team.
- facilitate the engagement of children in play-based assessment and intervention by medical teams
Artwork in the Foetal Medicine Unit, which helps to
- reduced stress and anxiety, distraction from pain and increased pain tolerance
- mood adjustments, positive mental health outcomes and increased social engagement
- improved staff to patient relations
