I am taking The Challenge!
{event_raised_amount[event_id=45]}On Sunday 23 July, I am joining with other cyclists to help support and raise awareness for organ and tissue donation, highlighting the importance of Canberrans registering their donation decision and discussing their wishes with family.
Importantly we are helping to raise funds to support the purchase of specialised and home away from home comfortable furnishings within the dedicated family and visitors rooms for the Intensive Care & Paediatric Intensive Care Units at the Canberra Hospital.
Even though we will face an individual challenge pedalling this long distance in the cold Canberra weather, the patients and families of those with a loved one in the Intensive Care or Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, some of whom may be at end of life, are facing an even greater challenge experiencing the most difficult times of their lives.
Thank you for helping me, and my fellow riders to achieve our goal and help offer some comfort to future Intensive Care & Paediatric Intensive Care Units loved ones and visitors.
