At Canberra Hospital, the arrival of new Panda Warmer Resus View devices marks a significant improvement in neonatal and infant care. Thanks to the generous support of the Canberra community, the Canberra Hospital Foundation has ensured these advanced devices are now part of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
These devices symbolise our dedication to providing enhanced care for our youngest patients. By using the same equipment throughout the hospital, it allows our medical and nursing staff to work efficiently and effectively.
The Panda Warmer Resus View devices are packed with features that meet the specific needs of newborns and infants. They include built-in scales, real-time monitoring of vital signs, and the ability to provide light and warmth, which help in quickly assessing and treating our little patients.

Dr. Lally explains, "'they make our assessment and treatment of unwell infants more efficient, with improved lighting, storage of critical equipment, easy access to the infant and added features such as inbuilt scales and suction, clear monitors, improved warming function, and ergonomic to ensure we can perform necessary procedures more efficiently”
With the generous support of donors, we have been able to obtain two new infant resusitaires; this allows us to use in both the resuscitation area as well as our children's emergency space”
