The SPICE program is a joint initiative between Canberra Health Services and the University of Canberra Hospital aimed at providing a holistic evidence-based approach addressing all aspects of life for people with dementia and their carers. This 12-week program, which aligns with the National Dementia Plan, emphasises on meeting needs of people with dementia and their carers including mental and physical health, physical activity, social engagement, nutrition assessment and carer education and capacity building. The program is an ongoing success, and we are seeking additional funding to maximise the impact of SPICE by extending it to more participants.
